Patrick Swayze And His Wife, Lisa’s Unforgettable Dance At The 1994 World Music Awards

In 1994, Patrick Swayze and his wife, Lisa Niemi, gave a memorable performance at the World Music Awards in Monte Carlo, broadcast to millions of viewers.

It was their first time dancing together on international TV, and they chose to perform “All The Man That I Need.”

Patrick Swayze was already known as one of the best on-screen male dancers, but when teamed up with Lisa, his choreographer wife, the two are totally unstoppable.

After supermodel Claudia Schiffer introduced them, the duo took the stage to deliver a memorable dance routine set to Whitney Houston’s “All The Man I Need.”

This tribute was especially meaningful since Whitney had just been honored as Best Selling Female Pop Artist that evening.

This performance came a few years after the release of Dirty Dancing, when Patrick Swayze was at the height of his fame. His appearance and the dance routine made this moment a standout event, drawing significant attention and excitement from fans.

Did you notice Whitney Houston in the audience cheering after the performance? If not, go back and watch — it’s such a great moment between these two stars!

Patrick Swayze’s passing in 2009 makes the clip even more emotional. Their smooth moves show the deep connection Patrick and Lisa had. His love is proved throughout their 34-year marriage.

Lisa and Patrick began dancing together as teens after meeting at Patrick’s mom’s dance school in Houston. They married in 1975, a year after Lisa graduated from the Houston Ballet Dance Company, and four years before Patrick’s acting debut in Skatetown, USA.

In the 1970s, they pursued dance careers in New York, and in 2003, Lisa wrote, directed, and starred in One Last Dance, alongside Patrick, based on their struggles as dancers.

While Lisa wasn’t involved in Dirty Dancing, Patrick wrote the song “She’s Like The Wind” for her, calling himself lucky to have such an amazing wife.

The star later said “I just felt at the time that I’m very, very lucky to have a woman who thinks I hung the moon.”
